Brigett & Ryan first met in the summer of 2016 as teammates for their ultimate frisbee club team, Frisbee of Long Island (FLI). They were on the same starting offensive line. They then stayed in touch after the season through mutual friends and played in many Long Island ultimate leagues together.

Sparks flew in the summer of 2019 when Ryan and Brigett were both on the same LIVA beach volleyball team with a close group of friends. They then fell in love in July 2019 at the Wildwood ultimate frisbee beach tournament. Ryan asked Brigett to dance at the party in the Bolero hotel and the rest is history!

Ryan and Brigett hung out the following week after their ultimate frisbee summer league game. Their first date was after the game late night at an old Wendy’s because Brigett loves the chili and the 4for4 deal.

Ryan popped the question while going out on a sunset walk in the park at Port Jefferson village harbor. Their good friends Jamie and Zelda hid in the bushes and took pictures of this special moment. They celebrated after with margaritas and ceviche at Barito!
