Over a year ago, after we graduated basic training, we both went to tech school to learn how to be a Crew Chief. We both happened to get stationed at the same base and squadron, which is where we met. Despite the early mornings and countless work days that seemed to never end, we now see that God was being so intentional with our time. Allowing us to simply just be together, learning and observing about one another. Little did we know what He was doing behind the scenes. A few months later, we definitely realized that we were both very fond of each other. We started going to church together, beach sunset dates, smoothie bowl dates... and surprise! We fell in love.

One Friday afternoon, we were just wasting time together. Going to thrift stores, pawn shops, and the local antique mall. He randomly got a call that "something" was ready to be picked up in Destin, FL (I knew exactly what it was) I told him, "I'll just stay in the truck while you go in and pick it up, it's no big deal I won't even see it." So we headed over to Destin, and he was SO giddy when he walked out of that store. At this point, the ring was safe and secure in his pocket. We started to drive back to base, so I thought, but I was caught by surprise when he re-parked the car. He looked over at me with a big grin, while reaching in his pocket, and said "Please get out of the truck." I was laughing with excitement as I ran around to the driver side. When I met him standing there with the box in his hand, he told me he was sorry but he just couldn't wait any longer! That's when he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. ... oh, and I said yes!!!
