Only an hour and a half train ride or 1 hour drive (with no traffic) to the wonderful city. A plethora of things to do: Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Broadway shows, The MET, & the Bronx Zoo just to name a few!
Take a ferry out of New London, CT and be on an island off of Rhode Island in an hour! Enjoy cocktails on the beach, rent bikes and cruise around, & just enjoy being outdoors! Ice cream shops, unique boutiques, and many restaurants are located within a 10 minute walk of the island port.
You will never be able to enjoy a pizza again if you eat New Haven style apizza- it will set your expectations that high! You also read that correctly- Connecticut style pizza is called Apizza! There are many places but the top ones we highly suggest are Modern Apizza, Sally's Apizza, and Zuppardi's Apizza. None of these restaurants take reservations and the lines can get extensive- so make sure you go early! If you do get caught in line, it does go quick, and we promise it is worth it! Ordering take out is also an option, however none of them do delivery services. These three have been featured on Dave Portnoy's top pizza places with high reviews from him, but you will just have to try it to understand how delicious it is! Make sure to let us know which one is your favorite!
