Woods Hole Ferry to Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket
Take the Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole to one of two towns in Martha's Vineyard: Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. The 45 minute ferry ride provides incredible views of the Vineyard Sound waters and amazing sea breezes! Both towns have incredible food, drinks, and shopping. Martha's Vineyard -- Oak Bluffs
Oak Bluffs is our favorite town to visit on the Vineyard. As with all Cape and Vineyard towns, there is plenty of food, drinks, and shopping. Our favorite places to visit in Oak Bluffs are the Gingerbread Houses! Brightly colored Cape-style houses with abundant charm. Take a ride on the Flying Horses Carousel at the center of town--try and grab the brass ring to win a free ride or just enjoy riding on America's oldest carousel! Grab a lobster roll at Lookout Tavern while you enjoy views of the ocean before catching your returning ferry.
Martha's Vineyard -- Vineyard Haven
Take the Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole to Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard. Rent a bike, scooter, or car from one of the many rental shops just steps from the ferry landing to explore the Vineyard. If you want to stay in Vineyard Haven, there is plenty of shopping with staples such as Vineyard Vines, The Black Dog, and numerous boutique shops. Amazing food and drinks to indulge at Bernie's Handmade Ice Cream and Nat's Nook. Cap off with a drink at The Black Dog Tavern while you wait for your returning ferry!
