FAQs

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

No children please.

Question

Do I need to book a place to stay?

Answer

No! The venue has cabins on site and your stay is on us! Booking the cabins has been an interesting adventure and the reason you're getting this invite so late (sorry!). Your rooms have been assigned/paid for so when you get to the venue the day-of the venue will tell you the room you are assigned and ask for a credit card in case of damages only.

Question

When is cabin check in/check out?

Answer

Check in is 4 PM the day of the wedding. Check out is 10 AM the day after the wedding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Feel free to wear whatever you want that you will be comfortable in! No color restrictions or formality requirements. The ceremony is at a lake beach and the venue has some uneven original wood flooring so be cognizant of footwear (close toed shoes recommended). The wedding is going to be in the summer so knowing Colorado be prepared for any crazy weather that may come (rain, snow, or blissful sunshine!)

Question

I have dietary restrictions. What food will be provided?

Answer

We plan on having gluten free and vegetarian options all courses: appetizers, dinner and dessert.

Question

When should I get there and where should I go first?

Answer

We recommend trying to get to FREIGHT right around when the cabins are available for check-in (4 PM) to allow yourself time for check-in, change/get ready, hang out before heading to the lake for the ceremony at 6. Even though it will be summertime, there still could be some Friday evening traffic coming up the mountain. We recommend heading from the venue to the lake by 5:30 at the latest.

Question

The ceremony and reception are in two different locations?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony will take place at Turquoise Lake which is about a 10 minute drive from the reception venue/cabins. We highly recommend you try to carpool to the ceremony after checking in at the cabins as parking will be limited.

Question

Will there be a wedding party?

Answer

Yes and no. All our guests are our wedding party!

Question

When will photos be taken?

Answer

To maximize the time with all wedding guests, the bride and groom will be doing the majority of the couples photos before the ceremony starts. That means post-ceremony we would love for everyone to stick around to get a few group photos at the lake and then we can all move to the reception location for more photos with the guests.

Question

Are there any other events other than the wedding ceremony/reception?

Answer

All who would like to can join in on a small hike the morning after the wedding. We'll provide breakfast, pack our stuff into cars, check out of the cabins and then go hiking!
