Maid of Honor
Kaitlin and I (Bridget) have been best friends since we met in homeroom in 7th grade. Although I was shy, Kaitlin would swing her lanyard around (almost whacking others in the face) and ask people if they wanted to be her friend. Although Kaitlin moved to Houston in 10th grade, our friendship never faltered, and we visited each other regularly. We share love of The Beatles & The Strokes, making up songs (such as the Melon Song), pasta, sock monkeys, colorful beards, and our pups. We've never had a single argument, and I know that this Maid of Honor and I have much more smooth sailing ahead.
Man of Honor
Blake and I (Bridget) have been friends since high school. We met working at McDonald's with two of our best friends, Lizzy and Kendra. From many late nights walking around OU campus talking about our futures, to studying in Bizzell (where Blake passionately and painstakingly expounded scientific concepts that flew over my head), to now communicating through text, Snapchat, and email, we have always been there to support one another. Blake helped me through some of the most trying times, and I am proud to call him my Man of Honor.
Bridesmaid
Rebecca and I (Bridget) met in 7th grade when Kaitlin suggested that we go over and talk to the new student. Although Rebecca seemed timid at first, she quickly blossomed and is now the most enigmatic person I have ever met. She brightens everyone's day and can charm her way to free Panera Bread pastries. She is a ray of sunshine, but she is also deeply serious and driven. I can always count on Rebecca to be honest and straightforward with me, and she always offers the best advice. Rebecca gives without taking, and I am honored to have this genuine soul as a bridesmaid.
Bridesmaid
Carlie and I (Bridget) met at Norman High where we played in band and orchestra together. I have always been drawn to Carlie’s bewitching and candid personality (the more disinterest she shows someone, the more they love her!). Carlie is one of the strongest and most serious people I know, yet she is also genuine and hilarious. No one has made me cry-laugh more than Carlie. Her humor is heavily “That’s what she said” jokes, but that’s what gets me. (I’ve even peed my pants a little before.) I miss playing music with Carlie and working with her at Starbucks, but I’m grateful that she has agreed to be my bridesmaid!
