The Wedding Website of Bridget Howe and William Castle
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

It would help us immensely if you RSVP within 4 months of our wedding (June 2024). Feel free to let us know sooner if you’d like. Please use this website to RSVP-we cannot guarantee we will remember if you text/call us your answer. In fact, we promise we won't remember. Wedding planning is a doozy.

Question

Can we bring you a gift instead of using the Registry?

Answer

To quote Michael Scott: " NO, GOD, PLEASE, NOOO!". We have built a life together for nearly 7 years and do not need more "stuff". Our registry specifically asks for cash towards experiences and/or future goals, and that is the sweetest gift you can give us 🤍 See our Registry page for details (which will be up and running when we send formal invitations).

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

'Tis a long and windy road to Silver Falls and visitors can get turned around-we recommend giving yourself enough time to get to the venue between 2:30-3pm. If you plan on camping out at the venue overnight, we suggest you arrive a bit earlier to secure a bunkbed or tent site. *There will be limited parking, so we will be providing shuttles to a parking lot 5 minutes away. Parking at the venue is first come, first serve so we recommend trying to get there around 2:30pm to avoid delays in shuttling before the ceremony. Please carpool if you can!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to our venue's contract, we needed to limit our guests significantly, resulting in no children being invited. Due to the remote location, we also will not be providing childcare. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! However, we highly recommend carpooling due to the limited parking spaces. Only 30-ish spots will be available at venue. So if you are our local friends/family from Central Oregon, please coordinate with other local guests if you can. There is also extra parking in the lower lot of "Smith Rock Village".

Question

Do I have to be outside the WHOLE time?

Answer

Kind of! The ceremony will be outdoors in the grassy field. Dinner will be inside the barn. Dancing and After Party activities will be indoor/outdoor. We suggest bringing layers/warmer clothing.

Question

Is there WiFi or cell reception at the venue?

Answer

There is spotty cell service in the park and there is no WIFI at the venue. If you need WIFI, visit the Smith Creek Village Café, which isn't too far from the bunkhouse.

Question

Can I Bring my dog, cat, owl, or toad?

Answer

Sadly, our venue isn't as lenient at Hogwarts. Unless it's a service animal, our beloved furry/scaly friends need to stay at home. *SMALL LOOP HOLE: animals are allowed outside on the grounds of the venue (aka the tent camping field), so keep this in mind if you'd like to reserve one of the 10 tent spots.

Question

I HAVE LIKE 12 FOOD ALLERGIES, WILL I STARVE?

Answer

We'll try to accommodate allergies to the best of our abilities. We'll let you know individually if we cannot accommodate you so you can pack your snack bag.

Question

CAN I SMOKE?

Answer

We are allowed to serve alcohol, but smoking, including vaping, is prohibited on State Park property (think of the trees-fires in Oregon during this time are of great concern!).

Question

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Answer

The reception venue is ADA-accessible. The ceremony itself is in a field. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have concerns about making it to the ceremony. We will try to find a solution.

Question

Is there a Code of Conduct?

Answer

How thoughtful of you to ask-yes, actually! We ask that all of our guests be kind, considerate, inclusive, and respectful of our differences. This is an LGBTQIA+ safe space; meaning any disparaging comments towards our community will not be tolerated. Thank you for understanding.

Question

I am staying overnight at the Bunkhouse OR Tent Camping Field-what do I need to know/bring?

Answer

If you RSVP'd to stay overnight for FREE at the venue, please note that it's giving adult summer camp vibes, therefore you will need to bring the following: -Sleeping bag/bedding/pillows -toiletries - bug spray -flashlight/headlamp -warm layers -If you're tent camping, you will need to bring your own tent (remember, there are only 10 tent sites available so RSVP ASAP). ANIMALS-Your animals are allowed on the grounds/tent camping field, but not inside the bunkhouse. Quiet Hours are at 10PM -you don't have to go to sleep but just be considerate of other guests sleeping in the venue. ADA Bunkbeds- there is a room downstairs in the bunkhouse that will accommodate ADA needs. Please reserve this area for those who need it. Reach out to William or Bridget if you would like to reserve this space.
