We're Getting Married!

The relationship started almost 13 years ago when Bridget sat in front of Troy during eighth grade science class. Troy realized he had actually met Bridget the summer before because Troy's brother Kevin was Bridget's summer swim coach. Bridget and Troy were on the same "team" in school that year, so after officially meeting in science they had other classes together, too. Their friendship started slowly, getting to know one another in class that year. Over time, Bridget and Troy became, and remained, close friends throughout high school. One day during senior year, Troy was driving Bridget home from school and asked her to prom. She said yes (of course), and the romance began. After prom, Bridget and Troy spent a lot of time together that summer before leaving for college. Early that fall, Troy visited Bridget at Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES!) to watch their two teams play each other in football. That weekend, after a devastating loss to the Dukes (which Troy and his friend's will never let Bridget live down), Bridget and Troy started officially dating. They dated all throughout college and spent summers together in Fairfax, New York, Virginia Beach, and, despite doing distance for almost four years (Troy even visited Bridget when she lived in London!), they finally ended up together in New York after Troy joined Bridget in the spring of 2015. After three years together in New York and Jersey City, Bridget and Troy moved back to Arlington, VA and now live in Rosslyn with their puppy Clover.
