Question

Are kids invited to the wedding? How about the welcome event?

Answer

We love the little ones, but (aside from our flower boy and flower girl) no kids are invited to the wedding. However, all are welcome to the Welcome Event at Union Kitchen & Tap. Be sure to shoot us a text if you plan to bring your little ones and we can make sure we have goodies for them.

What is the attire?

Answer

The wedding will be cocktail attire (suits - no ties, and knee-length dresses).

Will there be an After-Party?

Answer

Yes - we have to be out of our wedding venue by 9:00pm, and we plan to have an after-party location at a nearby bar (in the Encinitas area). More details to come!

December in San Diego - what will the weather be like?

Answer

That's a great question. It could be rainy and 60 degrees, or sunny and high 70s. We're planning for sunny, but our Welcome and Wedding venues do have indoor contingencies. We recommend keeping an eye on the forecast and packing options if you're traveling in.

Is there parking at your wedding venue?

Answer

Yes - there is free parking at the venue, but spots are limited. If you plan on driving, let us know and we'll make sure a spot is available! You are welcome to leave your car overnight and pick up in the morning.

I'm traveling from out-of-town, where should I stay?

Answer

There are plenty of hotel and AirBnB options in the area but you can also stay closer to Downtown if you wish to do more touristy activities during your visit. The closest chain hotel to our venue is the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar (13 minute drive to the venue), or if you want a fancier stay, the Rancho Santa Fe Inn is a 5 minute walk to the venue.

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

San Diego Airport is 38 minutes from our venue. If you are planning to stay a few days, we would recommend renting a car. However, Uber and Lyfts are plentiful and a great way to get around (including to and from our wedding).
