We met in Minnesota through a love of skiing and more importantly ski racing! Nick took me out on our first date at The Narrows Salon and then for a boat ride on Lake Minnetonka. It didn't take long to realize that we made each other better people and, more importantly, skiers!

My first trip to Utah we hiked Bridal Veil Falls with Carter and ate lunch by the falls. A little over a year later we decided to move to Utah to be closer to Carter and found ourselves hiking Carter's favorite waterfall the Saturday prior to Easter. This time however getting to the top was not in the cards, however, Nick was determined and pushed and dragged us up as far as we could make it without injuring ourselves. While sitting at the top right next to the waterfall with Carter clinging to a tree saying he was scared and me agreeing...Nick asked me to marry him! I said yes and then asked him to please get us down to safety, QUICKLY! Nick then took the ring back for fear of it being dropped in the waterfall and we all had to slide down the steep slope while onlookers watched and came over to ensure Carter was alright. A near death experience, but alas, we were engaged!
