Question

Hands-Free Cellphone Driving Law in MN Effective August 1st?!

Answer

Minnesota recently passed a new hands-free cellphone driving law which will take effect Thursday, August 1st. We wanted to let folks know, and provide info on what it’s all about so everyone can get to and from the wedding events safely and ticket-free! Details here: https://blogs.mprnews.org/capitol-view/2019/04/hands-free-cell-phone-is-now-law-so-how-does-it-work/

Question

What’s The Parking Situation?

Answer

Parking is permitted at the venue! Guests may also leave their cars parked overnight — but please note, the venue gates close at 12:00 a.m. and will not reopen until 5:00 a.m., so cars cannot be moved during those hours. All cars must be retrieved by 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Question

Is Silverwood Park a Zero Waste facility?

Answer

Why yes, it is! We're having a zero waste event to lessen our impact on the environment. Everything we use will be compostable or reusable. Please take a moment to ensure you throw your waste into the correct bin.

Question

What's the alcohol policy?

Answer

Since our wedding is at a Three Rivers Park District facility, no hard alcohol is allowed anywhere on park property. The bar will serve a variety of beer, wine, cider and soft drinks to your heart's delight. The park asked us to remind guests that bringing hard alcohol to the park will result in a ticket and fine.

Question

Where is smoking allowed?

Answer

No smoking is allowed in the woods and grass areas or within 25 feet of the entrance to the visitor center. Please use recepticles in the designated areas. If cigarettes are found outside the recepticles, we may be fined.
