The Wedding Website of Birdy Donovan and Max Sutton-Vermeulen
Question

Is there transportation to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Black Sprinter Vans will run on a loop to safely transport you to and from the event! Pick up a shuttle in the north west corner of the Keystone Ski River Run Gondola Parking Lot, 124 Gondola Rd, Keystone from 2:45 to 3:30 to take you to the 6th Alley Bar & Grill. RETURN shuttles will then be available THROUGHOUT THE EVENT at the Early Riser Lot (which is straight ahead and slightly left when you get off the chairlift) until 10:30.

Question

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

The ceremony as well as cocktail hour will be outside on the patio, and the reception will be inside Black Mountain Lodge. Please keep checking on the weather, it is unpredictable in Colorado, especially in the mountains. Forecast for venue: https://opensnow.com/location/arapahoebasin/weather

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The wedding and the reception will be held at the Black Mountain lodge which is at the top of the chairlift. The wedding will take place outside on the deck followed by cocktail hour and then we will proceed inside for dinner and dancing.

Question

Where will I put my coat?

Answer

There are 3 coat racks inside the double doors near the restrooms.

Question

Where should I bring a gift for the couple?

Answer

We will have a gift box for cards at the reception on top of the mountain. If you have something larger than a card we would appreciate if you bring them to the Welcome Party or the Brunch.

Question

What if I struggle with the altitude?

Answer

Sleeping on oxygen is the most effective way to reduce altitude related symptoms while in the mountains, Peak Oxygen is offering our guests 20% off with free delivery to your accommodations. We will also have an oxygen bar at the reception! The Black Mountain Lodge at Arapahoe Basin stands at an elevation of 11,500 feet. There will be two EMTs on site, but please remember to drink plenty of water, eat food, and know that drinks catch up to you faster at that elevation. We want you to have fun while also taking care of yourself.

What if I can't go on the chairlift?

Answer

If you're afraid of heights, have a disability or have a small child that you don't want going on the chairlift, please let us know! We can provide transportation for those who need it. NOTE: WE NEED TO KNOW THIS WELL IN ADVANCE
