Her version: Jeff and I met our sophomore year of college at Brockport. As neighbors in Mortimer hall, our friendship quickly began and evolved into best buds. It wasn't love at first sight, but might have been love at first laugh. His version: Bridge and I met in college. We had both transferred to The College at Brockport. I had transferred in the fall and Bridge in the spring. She instantly fit in on our floor and we clicked right away. She was weird and a goofball just like me, but she was also kind and made me laugh. That was in January of 2010 and we have never looked back!
Her version: At one of our favorite places, Top Sail Beach, NC, Jeff got down on one knee in the sand and popped the question. It was a beautiful sunny day and I was so surprised and overwhelmed with joy. His version: One week before I proposed, Bridge and I took a trip out West. I think everyone was expecting me to pop the question then, which would have been a good idea, but I wanted to wait to do it at a place that we both hold dear to our hearts. That next weekend, we took a trip to Topsail, NC with our good friend Beth. We have been vacationing in this spot for the last 5 years and it is one of our favorite places. We got in on Saturday night and I went over my plan to propose with Beth. Sunday morning we headed to the beach and I asked Bridge if she wanted to go looking for shark teeth (one of our favorite activities to do at Topsail). A few minutes into looking, I signaled Bridge over saying that I had found a monster tooth! As she got near, I turned around, got down on one knee, and the rest is history.
