Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places to eat and some of our favorite things to do in DC!

Le Diplomate

1601 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009

One of DC's most popular restaurants and one of the best burgers in the city. Bridget grew up going to Stephen Starr's sister restaurant, Parc, in Philadelphia. Now, Gary and Bridget visit Le Diplomate regularly.

Rakuya

1900 Q Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009

Great sushi right off Dupont Circle. This is where Bridget and Gary went on their first date!

Old Ebbitt Grill

675 15th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20005

The "oldest saloon" in Washington, DC, founded in 1856. Great ambiance and oysters.

Martin's Tavern

1264 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20007

Martin's is a cozy Georgetown staple. It's the oldest family-owned restaurant in the city and where JFK proposed to Jackie. Bridget and Gary love going to Martin's all year round, but especially at Christmas to see the decorations.

Georgetown Waterfront

3303 Water Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20007

Gary proposed to Bridget at the Waterfront, one of her favorite places from college. Bridget and Gary enjoy spending a warm afternoon at Tony and Joe's on the waterfront, and it is where they celebrated their engagement with friends.

Bagels Etc.

2122 P Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20037

Arguably the best bagels in DC. Cash only. Bridget and Gary usually get a bacon egg and cheese with a hashbrown on top on an everything bagel. Highly recommend after a late night at New Vegas.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe

1301 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20036

Multiple locations in DC. Great place to get a coffee, breakfast, or lunch.

Larry's Homemade Ice Cream

1633 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20009

Homemade ice cream in Dupont Circle. Bridget and Gary are regulars.

National Mall

Washington, DC

Check out the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the Capitol. There are also various free Smithsonian museums along the mall.

Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum

1661 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20006

Near the Hay Adams and across from the White House, the Renwick is a branch of the Smithsonian that displays American craft and decorative arts from the 19th to 21st century. Admission is free.

Rock Creek Park

Rock Creek Trail, Washington, DC 20566

One of Bridget's favorite running trails

Kalorama

Washington, DC

Bridget and Gary's neighborhood and also where a majority of the embassies are located. A great place to walk around.

For all the days along the way
