The relationship between us starts nearly 20 years ago, where as children, our families attended the same church. While I knew her name, I did not know her. Flash forward to 2016, and we find each other again online, as many couples do in the e-dating era. It has been said many times before, but opposites really can attract. While we have always shared love for things like music and the outdoors, our preferred music and outdoor activities are near entirely different. That said, we have always made it work, and have exposed the other to something they may otherwise never have considered. Finding mutual satisfaction and building more love in shared experiences, like raising our dogs, moving to Hawaii, working on our home, building computers, and traveling, we have truly done a lot of living and loving in the time since we first swiped right on the other. Our true hope for this weekend in July is to bring our big, crazy families together, because we know deep down that our families, while delightfully different, are as compatible as us.
