You may be wondering how we got here—a decade later… It all began at Clarion University in the fall of 2015, when we met through mutual friends. Even though we were both off on our own trips early on—Aaron in New York City and Bridget in Ocean City—we still found time to get to know each other. Just a couple of months later, we officially started dating on November 22, 2015. Bridget knew early on—telling her friends that Aaron was “husband material.” (She was totally right). After a few years of college memories together, Aaron graduated from Clarion in 2017, and Bridget followed in 2018. With Aaron cheering her on—already a few years into his professional career—Bridget went on to earn her master’s degree from IUP in 2020, just as life was about to take us on our next big adventure. That same year, we not only decided to move in together—we moved to Ohio, right during the height of COVID. Without knowing a single person there, it was a leap of faith that brought us even closer together (with lots of takeout and plenty of Netflix). Then came May 2022: the proposal. Bridget had always said she wanted a fresh manicure when she got engaged, so the maid of honor made certain of it—even if it slightly gave the surprise away. That same weekend, an adorable new dog was at a family friend’s house, and Bridget was absolutely convinced it was part of the proposal. But the dog wasn’t hers after all. Aaron had something even better planned: a heartfelt proposal at the same park where we’d taken our five-year anniversary photos. She said yes—and two months later, we brought home our sweet boy, Dewey who quickly became the center of our world. Proposal wish: granted. In 2023, we were ready to take the next big step in building our life together. Instead of having our wedding that year, we chose to buy our first home—a place to truly call our own. With most of our loved ones in Pennsylvania, it felt like the perfect time to put down roots closer to family and friends. Dewey approved immediately—endless running in the backyard and shamelessly flirting with the neighbors. Now, ten years to the day after it all began, we’re getting married on our anniversary: November 22, 2025. We’re so excited to celebrate this milestone with our favorite people by our side.
