Our Story

Aaron and Diana’s journey began in 2019 on the sun-soaked beaches of Puerto Peñasco during a spring break trip. From the moment they met, a deep connection sparked between them—one that both instinctively knew would become more than just a "beach thing." Back in Lubbock, that spark blossomed into something more. They continued exploring their growing feelings, which soon turned into the love they now share. Their first date—bowling, mini-golf, and a movie—became a cherished memory, and laughing about how little they enjoyed the film, Us by Jordan Peele, became one of their earliest bonding moments. Movies, whether in theaters or curled up on the couch, quickly became one of their favorite shared rituals. It was also around this time that Aaron met Peaches—Diana’s failed foster cat who would become a permanent fixture in their lives. Nearly a year later, the world changed with COVID. Aaron quarantined with Diana and her family for three months—a time that deepened his bond not just with Diana, but also with her loved ones. And of course, he solidified his status as a father figure to Peaches. In 2020 and again in 2022, Aaron and Diana began graduate school together. Their little family grew as they welcomed two new furry members—Zenitsu and Raisin. Despite the intense demands of grad school, they remained each other’s priority, growing even closer through the chaos. Then on August 2, 2024, in a moment of pure Disney magic, Aaron proposed at Snow White’s Grotto in Disneyland (thanks for the help, Ari!)—right as Snow White herself began to sing. Yes, really. No, he couldn’t have timed it better if he tried. Now proudly engaged, Aaron and Diana have completed their degrees and settled in New Braunfels, TX, with their three beloved pets. Six years have passed since that first spark in Puerto Peñasco, and their love has only grown deeper. Through pandemics, long-distance stretches, and countless late-night study sessions, they’ve learned that together, they can weather any storm. As they begin the next chapter of their lives, Aaron and Diana are excited to see what the future holds—and to continue writing their story, side by side.
