In 2013 Bri started her first nursing job at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. On her first day of work she met Kim Ponio. Kim was convinced from the moment she met Bri that she needed to meet her son, Jerry. She couldn’t stop talking about how perfect they were for each other. After some convincing, Bri made the trip to Madison, WI to go meet Jerry; the rest is history. Sometimes mom truly does “know what’s best”.

The morning of their housewarming party, Jerry went to the Madison Farmer’s Market and bought a car full of flowers. Bri was still sleeping and didn’t know he was gone. He came home and arranged them all over their deck and called up to Bri to wake up to help set up for their party. Bri couldn’t find Jerry downstairs, and the curtains to the sliding doors on the deck were pulled, which was strange. Bri opened up the curtains and found Jerry on his knee. It was a perfect, private moment together. They later spent the day celebrating with family and friends at their housewarming party.
