Brian and Sarah have always been planners, but neither expected anything this special to happen. In a way only God could orchestrate, their paths crossed exactly as He had planned. They met through mutual friends from church and went on a blind date—bowling followed by an Italian restaurant, because you can never go wrong with that!
From the very beginning, they realized how much they had in common. Both are the eldest in their families, both played clarinet, and both love arepas, bananas, peanut butter (Side note: Brian puts cheese in his PB&J… which might just be where Sarah draws the line!), and dancing for as long as the DJ keeps the music going. Even their wardrobes aligned, both leaning toward blacks and blues. On their first date, they unintentionally matched in black, something they now remember fondly… because, as they both say, “black is elegant.” Most importantly, they share a deep love for God and the Catholic Church, where God continues to guide their lives.
Brian had always hoped to get married and start a family, so on the Feast of the Holy Family, when he was presented with the opportunity to set up a date with Sarah, he saw it as a sign. From that moment on, everything began falling into place, little by little. On November 8th, during Sarah’s favorite season (She loves the Fall foliage), Brian proposed at Bell Works—the same place where they had their first date officially as a couple and where their relationship began after receiving her father’s blessing.
Now their story comes together in the most meaningful way, as they prepare for marriage and have their reception at that very same location. Together, they are ready to embrace whatever comes their way, with God at the center of their marriage. They are beyond excited for this next chapter and grateful to celebrate it surrounded by the people they love most.
