Our Story
How all modern romances begin, it started with a swipe right. Well, actually on Hinge you comment on a photo/prompt. Ashley was bored on a delayed flight to D.C. and opened up the app. Right before the flight took off, she commented on Brian’s photo and when she landed he had responded. While it took a few times for Brian to get the hint, our first date was at Tabletop Game Cafe. Brian stumbled over his words but still managed to teach (and beat) Ashley in games of Code Names and Ticket to Ride. Ashley admits that she remembers nothing of the date because she was too busy trying (and failing) to win. Don’t worry though, we’ve evened out the score since.
From games, to traveling, hosting Sunday Waffles and rooting for our failing football franchises - we've only fallen more in love with each other. Brian popped the question on March 9, 2025, to which Ashley emphatically said yes, probably because it was on her Google Calendar. And, our cats, Newt and Luna, had to give their approval.
