We’re tying the knot!

Mario and Brianne met in 11th grade English class, and while they had a few friendly exchanges, it did not go any further than that. Fast forward to June after graduation, Mario sent Brianne a silly message on Snapchat, and a few days later he asked her for her phone number. After talking for a few weeks, Mario asked Brianne on a date, but she thought he was joking, since she had never been on a date before. Once Brianne finally got the hint that Mario really did want to go on a date with her, she immediately said yes. On August 9, Mario and Brianne had their very first date, they ate burgers, and then went to see a movie, ending the night sharing their first kiss, Brianne’s first kiss ever, in the parking lot of the movie theater. Their second date was not even a week later, again they went to see a movie, and in that same movie theater parking lot, Brianne asked Mario what they were, and he asked her to be his girlfriend. Their official anniversary date was August 14, 2016, which Brianne absolutely loved since it meant their half anniversary would be on Valentine’s Day. Over the years, Brianne and Mario have continued to see countless movies both at the theater and at home, and they have also become quite the foodie couple. Some of their favorite memories they have made have happened just a few hours south in Miami, where Mario is from, and they have enjoyed some of their favorite meals together. While watching movies and eating does not seem very exciting, Brianne and Mario enjoy the simple things in life, because as long as they are together that’s all that matters. On August 2, 2025, Mario proposed to Brianne in the comfort of their bedroom in their apartment, the first place they moved into together. Mario did not have a plan in place to propose, he simply did it when it felt right, and it was the best way it could’ve happened. Brianne did not necessarily grow up with a dream of getting married, but Mario changed that for her, he made her see that one day she wanted to refer to him as her husband instead of her boyfriend. Keeping up with the simplicity of their life, Mario and Brianne will be tying the knot at the courthouse on August 14, 2026, their 10 year anniversary. This day will not be extravagant, but it will be a day filled with friendship, laughter, tears of joy, and most importantly, love.
