We are asking all guests of our wedding to be vaccinated (either the 1 shot J&J or the two-shot Moderna/Pfizer; booster preferred but not required) and if they aren't - to wear a mask unless eating or drinking. Why are we asking? 1. This is going to be a large event (over 200 people). No one wants or needs this celebration to end with an encore of COVID infections post-wedding. 2. We have several family members on both sides that are immunocompromised and want to make sure that they can attend with minimal risk. 3. Brianne works at IU School of Medicine, and therefore there will be a good amount of healthcare professionals on-site. Additionally we have a handful of family and friends in attendance that are primary and secondary school teachers. Their safety and ability to attend with minimal risk of contracting COVID is important to us.
No one plans on forcing you to be vaccinated if you choose not to be. However, if you are not vaccinated we request that you take a COVID test the morning of and wear a mask during the ceremony and reception when possible. We will provide masks at the wedding so that you do not have to remember to bring one.
We respect everyone's choice to do what they feel is best for them. Even if you have already had COVID, if you are not vaccinated, we are asking that you take a COVID test the day of the wedding and wear a mask during the wedding and reception when able.
We respect your decision not to wear a mask if you are not vaccinated. However, if that is what you choose, we ask that you RSVP with regrets and we will make plans to see you another time.
We only have one block of rooms reserved at this time. If we find a need to open more blocks we will do so and let the guests know. We encourage all out-of-town guests to use the Hyatt Regency as it is centrally located and will more than likely be a hang out spot the night before the wedding and post-reception.
Since we have huge extended families, we’ve chosen to limit our guests (wedding party excluded) and we hope you understand. If you have further questions, please let us know (nickelwinelandwedding@gmail.com).
We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.
There will be a limited open bar of select beer and wine during the cocktail hour only. When the reception begins it will transition to a cash bar.
