The first time we saw each other was during our freshman year at UW-Madison. We were both in a Social Work class, and Brianne immediately noticed Kevin as he was one of six boys in the class... but we did not officially meet until sophomore year of college. That year, we both ended up at a party together on Valentine's Day. Brianne walked in the door and remembered Kevin from Social Work and pointed at him and said "I know you!" Days later, Kevin asked for a Starbucks date and then invited Brianne to FIJI formal. From there, we have shared many coffees, formal dates, country concerts, and travels. We look forward to so much more to come!

The proposal happened on a rainy afternoon on July 20, 2018. Kevin was supposed to be going to a boys weekend at a friend's cabin. Upon Brianne hearing about a boys weekend, she felt the need to have a girls weekend in Milwaukee with her mom, aunts, and cousins. Days before Kevin was set to leave, he received a FaceTime. Kevin answered with Brianne sitting with him and was told the host of boys weekend was sick and would not be able to host anymore (one of Kevin's best moves). This led to Kevin inviting himself to hang with the girls at dinner on Friday night. Kevin came over to Brianne's after work and waited until the rain stopped. He asked to go on a walk before dinner (he had been "stuck inside all day") and Brianne went along with it. We walked down to the pier (where we love to stroll during the summertime) and Kevin commented on how cool the skyline looked. He asked Brianne to turn and face the skyline for an artsy picture. When she turned around, Kevin was down on his knee! We then went to Kevin's house where he had thrown a surprise party filled with Qdoba, spraying champagne, and best of all, all of our closest friends and family.
