April 8, 2016 - Tim had just moved back to Washington from LA and headed to the Mariners Home Opener with his bestie Jason. Bri was headed to the game to meet some other friends and carpooled up with her co-worker Jen, who just happened to be Jason’s wife. While this was over a year before they started dating and the conversation was limited, the seed was planted. June 10, 2017 - Jen got a new job and was celebrating her last day at the classiest establishment in Sumner, the Water Hole. Tim and Bri met again, hit it off, however....Tim didn't ask for a phone number at the end of the night. Rookie Mistake. Luckily for Facebook, Tim was able to connect with Bri and send her some cheesy (yet clever) messages, along with a few invites to Mariner's games, only to be ignored :( July 2017 - When Jen left, she also left Bri to be the coach of the office softball team. With Jen's assistance, Tim weasels his way on to the team, with the promise not to hit on Bri. He kept true to his promise, much to Bri's discontent. August 5, 2017 - Jen and Jason are having their annual "Big Ass Camping Trip", Bri decides to attend for one night. Jen does what Jen does...Tim hits on Bri, and asks for her number this time. August 11, 2017 - They finally go on their first date...to a Mariner's game.

For those of you who really know Bri, you know she always looks for a reason to celebrate. In this case, it happened to be her birthday month (one day just isn't enough). July 1, 2019, Tim takes Bri for a sunset dinner at the Des Moines Marina, and makes her carry her own gift bag, but she cant open it until after dinner. They go for an after dinner stroll down the marina and into the park. They stop at a balcony on the trail that looks over the creek, and Tim has her open her gift, starting with the card. The card ends with, "I love you more than bacon, you're the best ingredient in my life, so....". Bri, being the intellectual that she is, looks at all sides of the card trying to figure out what was next. Bri turns around to ask and finds Tim on one knee, and then freezes, hand over mouth. She turns around and takes a few steps away (she likely said a swear word). She turns back, probably swearing again, and Tim asks, "so is that a yes?". She didn't say a word, but she nearly broke her neck nodding yes. Shortly after, cheering is heard in the background. Bri thinks it's some weirdo's creeping down the trail; out from behind a building come Bri's mom, and some of their best friend's - Jen, Jason, and Joy. The champagne was popped, and the planning began!
