We’re Getting Married

In Virginia, just a few weeks before we were planning to move to Washington State together, I (Brianna) had plans to go to dinner with my friends Victoria and Gabraylie. They had tried to get me to dress up for dinner, but I went with jeans and a T-shirt, so I unknowingly was ruining everybody's plans. At the sushi restaurant, Victoria spilled soy sauce all over my seat so that I would have no choice but to change into a dress that they conveniently had in their bag. Leaving the restaurant in downtown Lexington we walked by the historic Gin Hotel, where Austin and I worked together, and I noticed the balcony was illuminated with twinkle lights. I nervously made my way upstairs to discover Austin standing at the end of a line of flower petals and candles. I ran over to him and swung my arms around him. Eventually, he got down on one knee, and it was the easiest yes ever! Our friends ran out from their hiding spots and joined us in celebrating our engagement. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Canmore!
