How We Met

10-22-2016

Along came cupid, a mutual friend, with a grand plan to set us up. He had texted us and asked if we would be interested in meeting each other. With the help of some technology and Facebook stalking, you would say that we were both smitten (j/k that was probably more me than her). The day had come, Oct 22, 2016, the day of our mutual friend's wedding, to finally meet each other. She was looking amazing in that burgundy dress. I think she could tell I was staring. But it wasn't too long after, I caught her staring at me outside the church. We both are naturally shy when it comes to first time interactions with strangers, but that didn't stop our friend from shooting his cupid's arrow. He grabbed both of us on the dance floor and that’s where the story really begins. It was from that moment on that we spent every weekend to this day together. We haven't been able to leave each other's sides since. -Seth

The Proposal

12-22-2018

The date started with lunch at the restaurant where we went on our first date. In case you’re wondering, I’m clueless on what's to come. After lunch Seth surprised me by taking me to paint pottery at a local shop in town. I was so excited because this was something I had been wanting to do and had mentioned it to him a few times. He listened! Side note - Seth had a photographer waiting for us outside, down the street, and it was December, so it gets dark early. However, I was really taking my time because I wanted my dish to be perfect. I looked at Seth and he was just slapping on the paint. I couldn't figure out why he was rushing. Haha! He was stressed out because he was literally running out of daylight. Obviously, I’m still clueless! But don’t worry, I finished in time. We left the shop and walked down the street because Seth wanted to “look at the Christmas tree” at the Governor’s Mansion. When we got to the area where he wanted to propose, he looked at me and started crying. That’s when I knew! The photographer was there to document it all! After the proposal, we met with family and had dinner at the winery. It was the perfect day! -Brianna
