If you had told us years ago that we would end up here, planning a wedding and building a life together, we probably wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are. We met when we were just kids, ten years old to be exact. We did everything kids do. Ding dong ditching, jumping on the trampoline, and playing basketball in the street. Nate was not good whatsoever. He still claims he was just letting me win. We were three peas in a pod with our other best friend, inseparable and always getting into something. Even though we did not attend the same schools growing up, we always stayed close and looked out for one another. Fast forward eight years. Nathan transferred to Central, the best school 😉, our senior year. Not long after, everything changed. One day he texted me something along the lines of, “Have you ever loved somebody so much you couldn’t picture yourself without them?” Of course, I said no, even though I had a feeling he was talking about me. I could not make it that easy for him. After many conversations, we both admitted what had been growing between us, but we were scared. After all, we were best friends. Taking that chance on each other led us to the beautiful life we have built today. What started as a childhood friendship grew into a love strong enough to build a family. Having our children by our side on this day is the greatest gift of all. They are living proof of our love story, the reason our hearts grew bigger than we ever knew possible, and the sweetest reminder that forever began for us long before this wedding day.
