Lyndsey and I met in 2006 at Homewood Middle School....while we were both in Saturday School for doing something wrong. We "dated" as much as you can as a middle schooler, which meant chaperoned movies and lame school dances. Then we went our seperate ways for a little while. Fast forward to freshman year of high school, and there we are, together again. It was something we loved while high school was hard and stupid for both of us. We had some issues because we were dumb kids (like almost all high schoolers) and that was it. Until 2018. I was in school and Lyndsey was working and we decided we would go on a date for dinner. I got out of school at 5:30 PM and we drove around and talked and hung out until well into the morning. We didn't even get dinner. Since then, we've moved in together, had his first child and become this amazing, loving, blended family. It's hard to imagine that I met the man I want to actually spend the rest of my life with, when I was 12 years old. I will be forever grateful that neither of us did our homework...
