We’re Getting Married!

Kajika and Brianna have known each other since they were in elementary school. They were best friends all of middle school and then went their separate ways in high school. In summer of 2020, Brianna commented on a devotion that Kajika did on Instagram. They started communicating back and forth, exchanged numbers, and when he came home for Christmas he asked her to be his girlfriend on December 26,2020.

The first year of courtship was getting to know each other again, with their likes and dislikes, sharing their love of nursing, and there love for God. Kajika was going to school in Kentucky, so most of their dates would be FaceTime, texting, and watching movies together on Disney plus. When Kajika would come home they would spend their time going on walks, watching Chicago Med, watching movies, going to see the Christmas lights, and occasional dinners. After a year of dating, Kajika and Brianna knew that in the near future they wanted to get married..it was just a matter of when!!

On November 5th, Kajika had invited his whole family, Brianna, and her whole family to come watch and be apart of his senior game. Brianna and Kajika's family walked Kajika on the field to receive his senior award. They were lined up on the field, the announcer called his name and the fans went wild, the announcer then said that "I believe that Kajika has a question for you, Brianna". Kajika turned to Brianna, asked her "are you ready," he got down on one knee and FINALLY asked "will you marry me?" After she said yes, the entire football team came running to congratulate them. Later that night, Kajika, Brianna, and their families went to a nice dinner...it was an epic way to start this amazing life together!
