FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see all of our family and friends dressed up for our big day! Please dress semi formal and avoid shades of white. The ceremony is outdoors and requires a leisurely walk through the woods, so avoid footwear that might make that difficult. The reception is in a historic barn with little air handling; light, breathable fabrics are recommended.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception adults only. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Because our ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm and there is an 8-10 minute walk to get to the ceremony site, we recommend you arrive no later than 4pm to ensure you arrive in time to see us tie the knot!

Question

I have VIP on my invitation, what does that mean?

Answer

We know that a walk through the woods may be difficult for some of our guests, so those marked with VIP will be the first priority to be escorted via golf cart to our ceremony and reception sites! Those not marked with VIP can be escorted time permitting.

Question

Can we take pictures?

Answer

We ask that during the ceremony, all cellphones are silenced and put away. However, we strongly encourage you to take all the pictures and videos your heart desires during the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

What food can I expect for cocktail hour and dinner?

Answer

We will have a charcuterie spread during cocktail hour. For dinner, we will be having BBQ! We will have pulled chicken and pork, Mac n Cheese, Potato Salad, Green Beans, and Salad for dinner, served buffet style.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have a limited menu of beer, wine, and simple cocktails available at no cost to you! Don't drink? No problem! We will also have a variety of sodas, iced tea, and water available as well. If you feel our bartenders for the day have done a fantastic job, cash tips can be given directly to them.

Question

Do I need a designated driver?

Answer

Yes, there are no accommodations available onsite of the venue. We want everyone to get home safely, so please plan ahead of time if you plan to drink. Cars can be left overnight if you choose to uber, but must be picked up no later than 11 am on Sunday.

Question

Can I smoke/vape?

Answer

Smoking and vaping are only permitted around the bonfire located outside and away from the barn. No open flames are permitted anywhere near the barn due to the fire risk to the 175 year old structure.
