The California coast is so significant for us and was a natural destination for our wedding. We were actually torn between Northern and Southern California as our wedding location even before covid-19 happened. It really does all work out in the end. We were both born and raised in Long Beach and later met in San Francisco. Our first commitment to our relationship happened in Grey Whale Cove right off Highway 1 back in October 2016. Last October we got engaged on that same beach. And our second engagement - because why not? - took place last Fall on the beach at sunset in our very special hometown. Once covid-19 happened we reimagined the event happening in Long Beach. Everything just fell into place. We are so excited to celebrate our commitment to each other with all of you in our very special hometown. Given our love of nature and the outdoors, we wanted to keep the ceremony outside. The wedding will be held outside in the garden at Shirley Callan's home - Jill's Mom. We're taking every opportunity to ensure social distancing is in effect and ask that everyone wear masks as much of the evening as possible and respect other guests' comfort level and personal space.
