We're Getting Married!

Jairo and Brianna met through Krystal, Jairo's sister. Brianna and Krystal became friends while working at bebe and Krys invited B over to celebrate her birthday. Upon arriving, B was introduced to a buffet of men (J's words) but she gravitated towards Jairo, and he gravitated towards her too. The party ended up in the kitchen with them being the last two guests chatting away. Jairo walked Brianna to her car and she drove away nervously (she'd only had her license a month) and realized he had asked her out and she didn't respond. Jairo, waiting in agony, watched as her drunk ass drove away (lies!). Not deterred by her oblivious mistake, he decided that he would find another way to make contact with B. Days later, he saw his sister post on IG about her birthday. He noticed that B liked and commented on her post. With fresh blood in the water, J decided to attack. He liked the picture first (Krystal liked the "like") and @ her in the comment. Then, without a doubt, it went down in the DM. That our friends, is when you would say, "the rest is history."

J+B have enjoyed Disney dates, checking out different breweries, and binge watching home Reno and cooking shows. They've enjoyed exploring different cities in the States and hope to explore more soon. The pandemic brought on the next chapter, when B accepted J's invitation to move in together. They both gained a little (J more) weight and a whole lot of patience (J more) and love for each other. A little over a year later, on July 24th, 2021, with slight fear and a ton of excitement, J decided to propose. It was a beautiful morning in San Diego and J wanted to take a walk along the harbor (morning bird). B on the other hand, didn't. She wanted to rush back home to LA to see her visiting family. As they walked for what seemed like hours to B, J begged her to take a seat and take in the view. There, sitting on a sun baked rock, B listened to J explain how during the quarantine he had such a hard time trying to figure out when and how he could propose to her and then went straight to it. As he hurried through his pocket and at the same time try to ask for her hand in marriage, B was still very confused at what could be happening. As soon as he pulled out the ring, her only words were, "You're crazy! You're crazy! You're crazy!" She never actually heard him ask, "Will you marry me?" because it was all happening so fast. She replied with an outstanding, "Of course I will" while both of them ugly cried. J+B have recently purchased their first home together and are excited to share the next chapter of life with loved ones.
