Well, like any classy love story, we met at work. Brianna thought Alanna was a douche and Alanna thought Brianna was too quiet and reserved to be any fun. After two years of passing each other at the office without any conversation, a work happy hour in July 2018 finally brought them together. In September 2018, Alanna made a bet with Brianna that if the Pittsburgh Steelers lost a particular game, she would have to go out to lunch with Alanna. Someone must have really wanted this to work because as one would have it, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost and they went out to lunch. Now...if you know Brianna, you know she does not pick up on flirtatious cues so she questioned if that lunch was in fact a date or just two friends eating a meal together (There was copious amounts of flirting in the months leading up to lunch, but it took Alanna paying for the meal for Brianna to realize it was in fact a date). That lunch was the beginning of our story and we have not looked back since. I (Alanna) thank God every day that the Steelers knew the right time to lose :)

During our 2019 stay in Rehoboth Beach, we fell in love with Crooked Hammock Brewery. They opened a secondary location in Middletown, DE soon after and we were looking forward to trying it out. Brianna scheduled a weekend to go down with Alanna's sister and boyfriend to finally check out the location. Little did Alanna know, Brianna would be proposing. The bartender brought out a beer flight board with the words "Will You Marry Me?" written in chalk marker. At that time, Brianna revealed the ring and Alanna said "yes!" The entire restaurant staff gathered to take photos and congratulate the couple. While a nontraditional proposal, it was very much their style!
