We love hiking and cruising around Red Rock Canyon! It is absolutely beautiful and October will be a great time to visit. You will need a reservation for timed entry/daily passes through their website for the national park and the scenic loop. Fun fact - we had our second date and engagement photos here as well!
If you would like to get away from the city and the heat, this is a great spot for some time with the beauty of nature. Temperatures here are typically way cooler and it is just about a 30-45 minute drive away.
