We're getting married!

Brian + Christie met for the first time in the Fall of 2014 at the University of Memphis. Brian's version: "We met for the first time in the office for the Asian American Association (AAA)." Christie's version: "We met in the parking lot before one of the many AAA parties." Clearly, their memories from 10 years ago are a little hazy, but it can be agreed upon that their introduction at the University of Memphis is what brought them together! Go Tigers! GTG! They would often hang out with other member in the office, study together, and make the drive all the way to Arlington for house parties at the Nguyen household. Brian + Christie bonded over their similar upbringing and family dynamics, similar personalities, and even similar taste in foods! They are the perfect Taurus/Gemini (cusp) and Capricorn match! On January 30th, 2015, Brian asked Christie to date, and the rest is history! Their first official date was at Babalu at Overton Square. Over the years, they've grown together and their family, welcoming 3 beautiful furbabies - Hana (2017), Yuri (2018), and Kenzo (2020). Fast forward to the Summer for 2023: Brian + Christie packed up the dogs and their home to move from Memphis, TN to Tampa, FL, where they currently reside and why you are all making the trip for our big day! They've been really loving the change of pace and environment and can't wait to share all of their favorite spots with their favorite people. On their 10 year anniversary trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Brian gave the most perfectly imperfect proposal... that is because Christie knew he was going to ask the big question because she accidentally found the ring box 3 months prior in his backpack. And that's not all... At Brian's planned proposal spot on the beach and at the exact moment during sunset that he was going to get down on one knee, a truck almost ran them over. And then the tide was coming in really fast... Brian would then propose on the beach during sunrise instead! This brings us to the present day! Brian + Christie are so overjoyed to be able to have everyone make the trip to Tampa, Florida in April 2026 to celebrate. And those who cannot make it, we thank for their support and well wishes from afar. It is so deeply appreciated and does not go unnoticed!
