October 30, 2015, is a day to remember. Gabby was out with her girlfriends dressed as a lumberjack for a Halloween party and she ran into this tall, handsome golfer named Brian. She "forgot" her plastic ax at his basement party and woke up to a message from Brian that he would love to drop it off for her at the next Halloween party. Gabby decided to dress as the strong fighter, Ronda Rousey, and brought up the courage to meet Brian once again. The moment they saw each other at the Halloween party, the plastic ax was forgotten, and sparks were flying all around them. Brian decided to ask Gabby out on a real date, and the next day on 11/1/2015 was forever recognized as the official first date that Brian and Gabby had. Brian took Gabby out for a walk to Darien Chestnut Forest Preserve; a forest preserve that later becomes an important landmark in their journey together. Sadly, Brian and Gabby were only babies in college wondering where life will take them. They decided to go their separate ways and explore the world! Gabby thought nothing of this. Brian, on the other hand, had a plan! 4 years later, Gabby and Brian reunited, had their first date since college, and the sparks came back once again!!! Many dates later, a decision to move in together, and one puppy later, they decided to take things to the next level! One cold morning on December 30, 2023, Brian asked Gabby to go to the exact same forest preserve, Darien Chestnut Forest Preserve, that they hiked on their very first date in college back in 2015! Roo was dragging Gabby ahead of Brian when all of a sudden, he "dropped" his phone and fell to his knees! Gabby couldn't help but laugh at what a goofball she has in her life, although the laughing halted the moment, she saw Brian pull out a baby blue box and he was on one knee! "Gabriella Jane Demchenko, from the moment I met you back in college, I knew you were the one". A momentary blackout, a thousand tears, and a LOUD YES later, Gabby and Brian were ENGAGED!!!!! Roo began to get the zoomies; his mommy and daddy are getting married!!! November 1st will forever be a special day for Brian and Gabby. Hence why... (drum roll please...............) Gabby and Brian are getting married 11/1/2025!!! Get your passports ready, your suitcases packed, and bring your best swimsuit and get ready to celebrate the future Mr. and Mrs. Zabiegly at Dreams Macao Beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! It will be a night to remember!!
