When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP no later than April 9, 2026. The sooner the better! All RSVPs can be made utilizing the "RSVP" tab on this website.

Question

What should I wear to celebrate this big day?

Answer

This is Steve's prime opportunity to put aside his stained t-shirts and shorts from high school, so we ask you support him in this endeavor! Our dress code is Cocktail/Semi-Formal - think suit and tie or a dress shirt with slacks for men; and cocktail dresses, nice skirt and blouse, or pantsuits for women. Wearing your "Sunday Best" is also acceptable! Wear your favorite Springtime colors and floral attire. Our wedding will be taking place in our church, so we ask that you dress in ways that respect this sacred space. Please refrain from plunging necklines, immodest cutouts, high slits, short hemlines, and jeans.

Where do I park?

Answer

FOR THE WEDDING: St. John's has a very small parking lot, and we respectfully ask that these spots are reserved for our elderly and handicapped friends and family, or those with small children that cannot make the walk from the surrounding parking garages. There are two parking garages that surround St. John's. Directly north is the Plaza Park Garage (accessible off of Capitol Ave. or Maryland St.), and directly east is the World of Wonders Mall Garage (accessible off of Maryland St. or Illinois St.). Both require a small fee, but are quick and easy walks to St. John's. FOR THE RECEPTION: The Rathskeller does not have provided parking, but there are several options for garages and street parking directly adjacent to the venue. Street parking is plentiful and very affordable. RECOMMENDATIONS: We highly recommend you consider carpooling with your friends or family, or even utilizing Uber or other ride shares if you are not comfortable driving and parking in the downtown area.

How early should I arrive?

Answer

Indianapolis is currently in a "season of growth," which means they decided to do all the street construction simultaneously EVERYWHERE. Please give yourself plenty of time to drive to our venues so that you are not stressed with traffic, parking, and getting to the right place on time. Aim to be at the wedding by 12:50pm so that everyone is seated and comfortable just in time for Steve's big entrance :)

Are my kids invited? Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we unfortunately have a limit for our reception. Your invitation and RSVP will include those of your family who are invited. Similarly, if you were given a plus one it will be reflected in your invitation and RSVP. Please refrain from bringing parties that were not directly invited.
