Justin (Hank) works for a medical device company and was living in Shreveport, LA during the time that they met. On Friday, August 18, 2017, Hank was heading to a hospital in Longview, TX, but decided to stop by a smaller hospital in Marshall, TX on the way. Little did he know, he would meet Brianca’s (Bri) mother, Patricia (Ms. Pat), who worked there. They began conversing and during the dialogue, Ms. Pat brought up her daughter (wink wink), Bri. She said: “Justin, I think you should meet my daughter” and then proceeded to open her iPhone 3 (might have been a 2, but definitely had the large font size selected) and found a recent picture of Bri. Hank was very impressed with what he saw and knew immediately that he would need to find someway to meet Bri. Hank provided Ms. Pat with his business card and asked for her to share it with Bri. Luckily, Bri was coming home for the weekend to enjoy a much-needed break from nursing school. This provided Ms. Pat with the perfect opportunity to execute the mission. Once Bri made it home, Ms. Pat approached her and shyly told her that she has news for her. Bri looked intrigued but nervously asked, “What is it Mama?” Ms. Pat let her know that she met a handsome man today at the hospital (so handsome that she almost ran into the door looking at him). He worked in medical device sales and was in the Endoscopy Lab. Prior to this moment, Ms. Pat had already worked with one of the nurses in the lab named Nicole to find Hank’s Facebook profile picture. Ms. Pat pulled out her iPhone 3 again (might have been a 2, but definitely had the large font size selected) and shared Hank’s photo with Bri. It was his nice, full beard that got Bri’s attention (wink wink). The next day, Bri decided to call him since her mom worked so hard at playing detective. The two chatted for approximately an hour (which is probably the longest they’ve ever talked on the phone considering Hank isn’t much of a phone person) and agreed that they should meet that evening for drinks at Margaritaville Resort Casino in Shreveport (fancy, we know). Once at Margaritaville, the conversation flowed smoothly and interest in each other increased significantly. The two wanted to hang out longer, so they decided to stop by Celebrity Lounge afterwards for more conversation. After Bri decided to extend her stay for an additional two days, they would meet twice for dinner and conversation. From this point, both parties knew that life had changed, and this person was someone special. After a few months of dating, Hank and Bri made it official on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Their wedding date will be their five-year anniversary as a couple, which makes it even more memorable.
