Bahía Bioluminiscente
What it is: A natural phenomenon in a mangrove forest with glowing microorganisms called dinoflagellates. Activity: 2 to 2.5-hour night kayaking tours, typically running Monday through Saturday. Note: Tours are required, as access to the bay is strictly monitored, and kayak providers leave from this designated spot.
Playa Aviones
This is a secret spot for locals, with plenty of kiosks and restaurants. You will be able to eat bacalaitos (a fried codfish pancake). You can rent chairs and umbrellas to protect from the sun while you are lying down on the beach.
Hacienda Carabalí - For the kids
Family fun, Carabalí Rainforest Adventure Park offers exhilarating one or two-hour ATV rides through the foothills of El Yunque National Forest. Also, they offer go-karts, horseback riding by the beach, and many more fun activities. There is convenient transportation between Hacienda Carabalí and the Metro Area. We recommend contacting them to make arrangements.
DISTRITO T-Mobile - For the kids and baseball fans
Distrito T-Mobile is an entertainment and retail district complex located adjacent to the Puerto Rico Convention Center, part of a redevelopment of the Convention Center area that initially opened in 2005. Distrito T-Mobile is a 476,000-square-foot complex of entertainment, dining, and shopping. Great for kids! Look for the zipline inside the arcade. Also, Puidge's Pizza place with baseball memorabilia and a great restaurant, La Central, by Chef Mario Pagan.
