Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception will take place at The Commons 1854 in Topsfield, MA. For more information on our venue, visit their website: https://www.thecommons1854.com

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00PM. We recommend that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

For guests who will be driving themselves: there is a parking lot on E. Common Street, across from the venue. Parking is free of charge. For guests staying in either Amesbury hotel, we will be providing transportation.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Suggested dress for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.

What weather should I expect?

Answer

Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, but we are hoping for some beautiful New England Fall weather. Keep an eye on the weather here (https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/topsfield/01983/weather-forecast/2089054) in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are hoping to have the ceremony outdoors, with the cocktail hour and reception taking place indoors - weather permitting!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the cocktail hour downstairs, where we will be serving hors d'oeuvre and beverages.

Is the venue location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, the venue is mostly wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the top balcony in the upstairs hall. The first floor of the venue has small ramps to assist with entering/exiting, while the second floor has a lift to access the main hall in the rear of the building. Should you need any accommodations, please let us know.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We will be using this website for RSVPs, please click into the RSVP section and enter your name, you will then be prompted through the RSVP questions.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Due to the varying needs of guests, we do not have a room block. The bridal party will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Amesbury. Transportation to the venue will leave from and return to the Hampton Inn. Guests are also welcome to stay at the Fairfield Inn, which is right across the street from the Hampton Inn.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided from the Hampton Inn in Amesbury. The shuttle will be leaving at 4:10PM. If you are staying at the Fairfield Inn, we ask that you meet the shuttles to the venue at the Hampton Inn, which is located right across the street from the Fairfield Inn.

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

There will be a section on your RSVP to note any dietary restrictions or allergies. If you have any concerns beyond what you note, please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can help accommodate these.
