Brian: “I met Stephanie for the first time at Illinois State my Sophomore year. When living in the Manchester dorm, I had a few friends living on the 10th floor and Stephanie was one of their next door neighbors, room 1016. With a new semester starting, I was introduced to many of the people living on their floor and Stephanie being one of them. She was certainly a cutie, wearing a tie die shirt, sweatpants, and mismatched tie die socks. I was hooked from the start and from there on out, made any and every excuse I could to get up to my friends room on the 10th floor in hopes I would be able spend some more time with this girl. We got along exremely well and soon our chats passing in the hallway turned to texting non-stop which turned into playing footsies on the futon that then turned to breakfast dates in the dining center, building a snowman on the quad and then finally I mustered up some courage and got her to say yes to an actual real first date! I had it all planned out, brought boquet of candy flowers, had a small restaurant booked that we had both never been to and then last minute she decided to change things up and asked if we could go to another place to eat.. Noodles and Company. Nothing against the lovely Noodles and Company but definitely not the first date I had in mind. Overall though, I didn’t really care where we went as long as I got to be with her. I guess the date went well cause fast forward 8+ years and she’s still switching things up on me last minute and I still absolutely don’t care as long as I get to be by her side. I was once again able to muster up some courage to propose to her and now we all get to celebrate together on 10/16! I’m pretty sure she’ll be wearing something white and not tie die but she’s still the same cutie I met all those years ago :)” Stephanie: “I made the first move!” Even though we can’t agree on this, it still lead us here.
