Our favorite Ferry to take from STT to STJ is through Crown Bay. It is only a 5 min. taxi ride from the airport. If that schedule doesn't work with yours, you can always take a taxi across part of the island of St. Thomas to the Redhook Ferry. That will run more frequently, and will also go into Cruz Bay St. John. (Red Hook is the only ferry that has a "car barge"; so if you rented a Jeep in St. Thomas and wanted to take your jeep over with you to St. John, use Red Hook)

"Tickles" is an open-air restaurant/bar that you can get a bite to eat and a painkiller if you have some time to kill before your ferry departs. Just drop your luggage off at the ferry first, and they will put it on the boat for you while you relax.
