FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Weidenfeld and Brian Purtell
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The earlier, the better! Please RSVP by February 13th at the latest, since we have to give a final headcount to our vendors and make seating arrangements a few weeks prior to the wedding date.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We would suggest getting to Asbury Park, no later than 5PM so you can find parking and make your way way to the venue in time for the ceremony. Please note the venue is about a 25 minute walk from the train station. We would suggest everyone be seated by 5:15PM. The ceremony will start at 5:30PM, and doors will be closed at that time and we don't want you to miss it, so make sure you have all the time you need.

Question

Can you tell me more about the venue itself and how to enter?

Answer

Sure can! The venue is Tim Mcloone's Supper Club. It's at the end of the boardwalk in Asbury Park, near the convention hall and is on the upper floor from the Robinson Ale house. Guests will enter via the ramp outside and go right up and around to the 2nd floor. Enjoy the panaramic windows and gorgeous ocean views with us all night!

Question

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

Unfortunately, the venue does not offer parking due to its location on the Asbury Park boardwalk. There is paid street parking available, or you may consider using Uber/Lyft, or using NJ Transit. Please note the train station is about a 25-minute walk to the venue.

Question

Will there be a hotel room block?

Answer

With our wedding being very local to many of our guests, we don't anticipate enough rooms will be booked to secure a block. Please see the travel section of this site for hotel recommendations. The Berkeley hotel offers good rates, excellent accommodations and is located incredibly close to the wedding venue (about 2 blocks away, and a 5-minute walk). The Asbury hotel is equally as close, and there are other excellent hotel choices in the area.

Question

I'm staying at a hotel, what about parking there?

Answer

Please reach out to your hotel about parking options. Many of the hotels in the area have private parking lots but may or may not charge a fee to use them or may require you to use a valet service.

Question

Can you tell us more about the dress code?

Answer

Dress up with us! While we want you to be comfortable enough to dance the night away, it is a formal event. You don't need to go and rent a tux, but perhaps wear a suit of any color. Snazzy dresses in knee, midi, tea, ankle or floor length would be great! Formal jumpsuits and pantsuits are welcome too. Feel free to wear colors and patterns that you like, but please, no white! The ceremony and reception will be indoors and the cocktail hour will either be inside or on the balcony, so feel free to wear heels if it's comfortable for you!

Question

Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking our guests to please keep their phones and cameras tucked away out of sight, and on silent for the entirety of the wedding ceremony. Our photographers and videographer will be moving around the room, trying to get the best angles. We wouldn't want anyone to block their shots, or have phones and cameras standing out in pictures and videos. Just relax and enjoy this wonderful moment with us. We are happy to share photos and videos with all of our guests once we receive them, so please leave it to the professionals during the ceremony. Once the ceremony is fully over (when we've completely exited the ceremony aisle and announced the cocktail hour) feel free to snap away!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue limitations, if you can bring a plus one it's been designated on your invitaion. If you feel like we forgot someone, or have someone we aren't aware of who should join us, please reach out to us. Just please understand that we might not be able to accommodate.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Please only bring children if they are addressed on your invitations. Not that we don't love them, but this is a mostly adults only event. We ask that you please arrange child care, leave the kiddos at home and party the night away with us!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! Drinks are on us! The bar will be open for the cocktail hour and reception. (Don't forget to tip your bartenders!)

Question

Do I need to preselect my dinner choice? Is there a menu I can see ahead of time?

Answer

You don't need to preselect your dinner option when you RSVP. Dinner orders will be taken tableside at the reception. We've posted a menu you can view under the Gallery tab of this site.

Question

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

While we won't have a formal afterparty, Asbury Park offers lots of exciting nightlife! Hit the town with us after the reception and keep the party going! Don't worry, we will have a late-night snack later in the reception to keep you going all night!
