Question

Eww, bugs! Are mosquitoes bad in Barbados?

Answer

Per the power of Google: “Mosquitoes in Barbados are most active during the day and evenings and as such, the NHS recommends travellers should practice strict mosquito bite avoidance…” It is not a common negative review for Barbados resorts, but it would be best to pack a long sleeve shirt and pants or strong bug spray just in case.

Question

Give me the beach! How is the weather in May in Barbados?

Answer

It’s tropical! The best months to visit the island is between January to May. April and May are the drier months for rainfall averages. Most temperatures average between 87 degrees to 77 degrees Fahrenheit with warm south to southeast winds. Temperatures are usually warm during the day and it is said it cools off around 4 in the afternoons. The evenings are cooler but with a warm south to south east breeze.

Question

Ugh! What do I pack?

Answer

Your bags! The wedding ceremony and reception will be of formal attire. However, shoes are optional for the ceremony on the beach. Most of the on site restaurants have a dress code. Be sure to check their website for more information on each restaurant and eatery. It’s a beach resort, so naturally a hat, sun block, sunglasses, flip flops, and a bathing suit. Casual beach attire and beach coverups will be great for breakfast, brunch, and lunch outings. Active wear would be recommended if you plan to go on any land adventures or excursions. And don’t forget your jammies!

Question

Wait! What about the gifts?

Answer

No physical gifts, please! Due to us traveling home on a plane, we prefer our guests who wish to shower us with gifts to contribute to our go fund me page. Cash gifts are also accepted.

Question

Question

COVID-19 for The United States of America

Answer

Per the power of Google: “As of May 12, 2023, noncitizen nonimmigrant visitors to the U.S. arriving by air or arriving by land or sea no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19. As of June 12, 2022, people entering the U.S. no longer need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.”

Question

Do I need my passport and ID?

Answer

Yes! You must have an up to date passport to be able to enter Barbados and return to The United States. It would be highly recommended you bring your driver’s license, passport, credit card, and cash for the cash exchange incase you are feeling gifty! I would also print off a copy of your boarding passes and resort reservations. Just incase.
