Bridesmaid
Kayla Nguyen is a member of TLC where she met Ruby and became her close friend. Kayla became closer to Ruby when she felt dry in her spiritual walk and Ruby agreed to come out to do Bible studies with Kayla. After the group grew and Ruby and Kayla started a small group of young ladies called the Sisterhood of the Traveling Gospel, gathering many young ladies to come and pray for one another. Since then, they have continued to be prayerful and supportive in each other's lives, encouraging one another in everything that they do.
Bridesmaid
My name is Marian. My earliest memory of Ruby was in youth group. Ruby introduced herself and later asserted, “Sorry, I’m really bad at names, so I might ask you again.” From there, we talked and became close friends. There’s never a dull moment with Ruby! Through the years, I know I can always count on Ruby for prayers and help. I love you, mucho!
Bridesmaid
Tashi is Ruby’s friend from high school. They met while playing badminton together in high school. Ruby and Tashi have been friends for over 14 years. They spend their time hanging out with their high school group and talking about everything from family to relationships. Their strong friendship will last a lifetime.
Best Man
The first time Brian and I met was during my Physics lab in my Sophomore year of college. Since then we just started hanging out a lot. We went rock climbing, hiking, and volunteering at the hospital. We also went to the same church and fellowship and grew together in our walk with Christ. We served in International student ministry, Elderly Care ministry, and even went to Taiwan for a mission trip to share the gospel there. We were housemates for better or worse for about 6 years and those were fun and great memories. Can’t wait for his special day!
Groomsman
I’ve known Brian for some time now, we go way back… There are so many distinct memories over the years. I remember summer days where we played video games, endlessly looking for best strategies. And in our years in Boy Scouts, countless weekends hiking and camping, or trying to stay warm in the snow. There was a time in our trip to Vietnam too, where he pulled us to a local Rubik’s cube competition. As the younger brother I spent a lot of the time watching Brian to observe where we would go next. Looking back, it’s clear how he invested time and passion into all life endeavors, commitments to be proud about. And now he’s brought that same energy into a future as a doctor and soon-to-be husband for Ruby. This marks a new chapter for Brian and I’m so excited to see where he takes it next!
Groomsman
Brian has been a great friend of mine since college, he got me into rock climbing and music and he's always been someone I can talk to. We've had tons of late nights at Denny's or at his house just talking and helping each other through difficult moments. I can honestly say he's one of my closest friends.
Groomsman
I met Brian in our senior year in college at UCR and I even got to live with him for about 2 years before he moved up to Vallejo for grad school. We bonded over photography when he taught me how to use a DSLR. We served in ministry to the International Students at UCR and the elderly at a local nursing home. If we weren’t doing these things, Brian would always ask if I wanted to go rock climbing at Hangar 18 with him, and we would go.
