Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Brian Rakowski and Paul Roberts
New Orleans is definitely a 'bucket list' destination. The city itself is pretty small but it makes up for it with its personality. From the French Quarter to the bayous, there are plenty of options for y'all to check out. Ubers and Lyfts are very easy to come by. Popular streets to visit would be Saint Charles Ave (for the sights) and Magazine Street (for food and bars). Just like any city at this time; be vigilant, be aware of your surroundings and stay near well-lit and populated streets. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask us.

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar

Superior Seafood & Oyster Bar

A popular restaurant in the Uptown neighborhood. If you're interested in dining here we recommend doing a table reservation online. This place is popular and can get busy depending on the time of day.

Mahoney's Po-boys & Seafood - Uptown

Mahoney's Po-boys & Seafood - Uptown

3454 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115

The po-boy sandwich is one of NOLA's staple delicacies. We suggest grabbing yourself the fried shrimp po-boy, it's fantastic and a very enjoyable meal.

The Sazerac House

The Sazerac House

101 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130
, 504 910-0100

One of our favorite attractions to visit. The great thing about this place is the tours are FREE! Make sure to sign up for a tour time online, during the tour you will get 3 samples of some signature New Orleans cocktails and the building is beautiful. A little bit of history and a little taste of the south. **You must be legal drinking age to participate in the tour**

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar

941 Bourbon St, New Orleans, LA 70116
, 504 593-9761

A historical landmark as the oldest bar in America. This bar is located on Bourbon Street in The French Quarter. Lafitte's is a cool place to grab a drink and walk around the historic Quarter. This bar is also said to be haunted by the pirate Jean Lafitte himself, also when Stevie Nicks is in town she will usually stop in and play the piano in the back bar. Its a hot tourist spot so it does get crowded as it gets later in the day.

Good Friends Bar

Good Friends Bar

740 Dauphine St, New Orleans, LA 70116
, 504 566-7191

Good Friends is our absolute go-to bar when we are in The French Quarter. A great location and super friendly staff. This bar is located in the gayborhood of the Quarter called 'the fruit loop'. This is a relatively safe area in the Quarter and is a really great time to enjoy a drink in this famous district.

Adventures of Jean Lafitte (Bayou Swamp Tour)

Adventures of Jean Lafitte (Bayou Swamp Tour)

5145 Fleming Park Rd, Lafitte, LA 70067
, 504 323-0570

A fantastic tourist attraction for the whole family would definitely be a bayou tour. This tour was one of our favorite ones. You can see the amazing swamps of southern Louisiana and see a ton of gators on the way. Fun Fact: These swamps served as the filming location for Disney's Princess and the Frog.

For all the days along the way
