We met in the crazy modern world of online dating. Sparks flew as we talked back and forth for weeks on end. We made a date for the Botanical Gardens (Garden Glow) event for a Saturday, but we could not wait until that Saturday to go. We were anxious to meet one another, so we did a predate and went to see a movie (Dune). As we can all see, those two dates went over so well that we are now going to be saying "I do" and spend forever with our one and only soul mate.
We planned a vacation to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, as a family trip. Brian and I had traveled to Tulum, Mexico, a year prior to this family trip. Mexico is beautiful, and we loved it so much that we knew a trip with our girls, the loves of our lives, would be the perfect vacation to share what we had experienced as a new couple with them. So as we returned with our girls, we did numerous activities as a family. On the second-to-last day in Mexico, we set up a professional photographer for family photos on the beach and around the resort. The morning came to have the pictures taken, and the photographer was a no-show, so the next best thing was a standby traveler. Once the photos were finished, Brian said he would like one more photo in the gazebo (which, let me tell you, is not Brian). While I was positioning us for our photo that our girls were taking, he said that he had something for me. Brian presented a box, and inside that box was a beautiful ring that will forever and always stay on my finger. I SAID YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in Alton!
