The Strip District is an area right outside of downtown that we frequently enjoy going to on a Saturday morning. Here you can find multiple restaurants that offer a variety of food types including: Kelly O's Diner, Coop De Ville, Pamela's Diner, Kaya, The Pennsylvania Market, Roland's Seafood Grill, and Luke Wholey Wild Alaskan Grille. There are also a few coffee shops down here including: La Prima Espresso Co. and De Fer Coffee and Tea.
Lawrenceville is one of our favorite places to walk around any day of the week since this neighborhood is where we live. There are plenty of restaurants to try (Industry Public House, Piccolo Forno, The Vandal, The Abbey, Ki Ramen, Driftwood Oven, Condado Tacos and Merchant Oyster Co,). If interested in getting a drink for happy hour, we recommend you try Eleventh Hour Brewery Co, Over Eden Rooftop Bar, Cinderlands Foederhouse or the Grapperia.
North shore is where Heinz Field and PNC Park are located. Down here there are plenty of bars and restaurants that can you can easily walk between. Restaurants and bars that you can try down here are: The Foundry Tap and Table (where we had our engagement party), Southern Tier, Hyde Park, Jerome Bettis Grille and North Shore Tavern.
Mount Washington is where the iconic pictures of the Pittsburgh Skyline are taken as there are breathtaking views from there especially at sunset/sunrise. This is located about 5-10 minutes outside of downtown Pittsburgh if you go across the Liberty Bridge. At the top, you can go out on several overlooks to get a better view of the city. If interested, you can get on the Pittsburgh Incline at the top and it can take you up and down the mountain side.
