Is there transportation provided?

Answer

On the day of the wedding, we are excited to transport all guests using the Austin Trolley Company! The Trolley will arrive at the Marriott North at 3:30 PM and shuttle everyone to the Lone Oak Barn. At the end of the night, they will be back to bring everyone back to the Marriott North. If you are staying at a different hotel, we kindly ask that you find your way to the Marriott North to board the transportation. If you are on a different schedule, Uber and Lyft are both available in the area.

What’s the attire?

Answer

Semi-formal! The entire day will take place within the Lone Oak Barn, which does not have central air conditioning. Please keep that in mind, along with some possible Texas heat, when you chose your outfit. We're not looking to be too fancy, just comfortable and enjoyable!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We have Welcome Drinks set at the Salt Lick, Round Rock. Come by at 7PM on September 23rd to meet everyone and catch up! The day after the wedding, stop in for brunch! We will be serving all types of breakfast foods to refuel you after a night of dancing. Brunch will take place at the Austin Marriott North at 9AM September 25th

Will Brian be in his uniform?

Answer

No. As much as we love serving in the military (and it’s the reason we’re together), we are keeping the customs and courtesies of our profession separate from our personal milestones. However, if you feel so inclined to wear your uniform, go right ahead! It’s a free suit!

What is on the menu?

Answer

We will be serving a buffet style dinner. On the menu will be a spinach salad, prime rib, lemon chicken, mashed potatoes, and veggies! If you have any dietary specifics, please let us know. We will try and accommodate!

Is everything indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. Our reception will be a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, but the main barn does not have central air conditioning. Remember it’s Texas! Who knows what nature will bring! Be ready for “not your typical autumn” heat down here!

What is parking like?

Answer

At all hotels, the parking is complimentary next to the hotel. The venue also has complimentary parking for anyone whose wishes to drive! But we will be providing transportation for all, so please think before you drink and drive!

Are there room blocks?

Answer

Yes! We have worked with three hotels for room blocks. Please see the Lodging portion of our website. If you choose not to use one of our hotels for a room, no worries! There are plenty of hotels in the area at a number of price points.
