One summer night, Brian and Mary Kate crossed paths at a bar in Hoboken, New Jersey. You could say they found love in a hopeless place, at the Cadillac Cantina. Mary Kate decided to venture to Hoboken for a girls' night out. While Brian was celebrating the end of finals week with his physical therapy friends. That night, there was a magical force that caused Mary Kate to turn away from her girlfriends, only to spot Brian in the corner. There was also another (liquid) force that instinctively made Mary Kate glide over to Brian, tap him on the shoulder, and ask him "can I buy you a drink?" Mary Kate headed straight to the bar without looking back. But Brian was just steps behind her. They were immediately mesmerized by each other, and exchanged numbers before parting ways. Brian spent the rest of that night telling his boys about the girl he just met, "Mary Jane." While on the PATH ride home with her girls, Mary Kate was swooning over this guy "Ryan" she met. Luckily it didn't take long for them to both realize they had the wrong names! The rest, of course, is history.
It's always a tradition that Brian and Mary Kate have a Christmas day date in New York City. A day filled with italian food at Forlini's, Christmas lights, festive drinks, and of course the Rockefeller Christmas tree. This year, Brian had planned for them to go ice skating in Central Park. After taking some fun Christmas pictures together at the Grand Army Plaza, they walked to the Gapstow Bridge towards the Central Park ice rink. Brian had Mary Kate stop to take in the beautiful Manhattan views from the Gapstow Bridge. Behind her, Brian got down on one knee! Mary Kate was so surprised, and of course said YES! Within minutes, just like the movies, it started to magically snow. It was without a doubt their favorite New York moment.
